SARA BUKOSKI LOVELACE

Sara Bukoski Lovelace is an artist and art educator living and working in Alexandria, Virginia. Sara has been teaching visual art since 2007. She is currently a K-5th grade visual art teacher in Alexandria, and has also taught after school art programs, summer programs, and private and commercial art instruction throughout northern Virginia.

Sara holds a B.F.A. in painting from the Savannah College of Art & Design, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and was awarded a studio residency at their Lacoste, France campus; and a M.A.T. in Art Education and a M.Ed. in Multilingual & Multicultural Education from George Mason University.

Sara enjoys working in a variety of media, including acrylic and oil painting, drawing, collage, and fiber art. She views art as an innate, healing skill in each person, and admires the work of youth for its honesty, confidence, and bravery.
